Behind The Scenes: Kelly Clarkson’s Cautionary Christmas Music Tale

Adam Lambert’s Glee Future “All Up in the Air” – Adam Lambert may be loving his gig as Starchild on Glee, but that doesn’t mean he’s looking to become a series regular. “I’m having a good time popping in here and there because I have a lot of other stuff in the mix right now,” the former American Idol contestant told me at TrevorLive at the Hollywood Palladium. How many episodes he’ll appear in is “all up in the air,” Lambert said. – Read more at EOnline

‘The Voice’s’ James Wolpert talks elimination: ‘This is not a setback’ – What is the one thing you will miss the most and, conversely, the one thing you’ll probably miss the least now that your time on “The Voice” is up? I think I’m gonna miss the camaraderie and the chance to perform solo songs on stage. That’s what we came here to do, to be performers that sing stuff. I think the thing I’ll miss least is the intense schedule. It’s a pretty intense schedule. It’s a lot of stress and a lot of pressure. But it’s like a roller coaster ride. It really pays off and you end up enjoying it. And you wanna get on again. – Read more at Zap2it

‘The Voice’s’ Cole Vosbury on being eliminated: ‘I didn’t want to let Blake Shelton down’ – Did you get a chance to talk to Blake between the show and here? As soon as my name was not called, he walked straight to me and gave me a big hug and I was like — fighting tears back, of course — “Sorry, man. I didn’t want to let you down.” He was like, “What? You didn’t let me down. I’m proud of you. I’m proud of how far you’ve come.” [He] and CeeLo [Green] both came up to me and told me how proud they were of me, and that meant to a lot to me. This is not the end of my relationship with Blake. … I plan on moving to Nashville and he’s really a good person to have in your corner if you’re gonna be in Nashville and doing that whole thing. He’s just really supportive, and I’ve always heard that he’s really supportive of his artists, and now I’m seeing it for sure. You don’t have to win for him to be supportive. He’s behind me 100 percent. – Read more at Zap2it

Kelly Clarkson is ‘Wrapped’ in red, but feeling green – “The label kept pressuring us to make some hit classic song, and, we’re like, well, obviously, we’re going to try for that, but you never know,” Clarkson says. “I just wanted to make it something you could decorate the tree to or be shopping in the mall and hear – one of those fun songs that gets stuck in your head.” For her Cautionary Christmas Music Tale, Clarkson presents the brattiest possible version of herself — “Scrooge, diva’d out,” she calls the character — trying to enlist celebrities to appear in a Christmas special. “We’re doing a show within a show, kind of like White Christmas,” Clarkson says. “Let me tell you this, though — it’s nowhere near that good. I love what we’ve done, but that’s a classic.” – Read more at USA Today

Lea Michele Credits Stevie Nicks With Helping Her Through ‘Worst Year Of My Life’ – “I owe so much to [Sia]. I think we just click. It was beyond an honor to sing her songs,” Michele said. “To get to have the honor of her helping me to write ‘If You Say So’ [after Monteith died], no one else could have done that. I’m very thankful to her because, as hard as it is, I have that song and it means so much to me.” “You’re Mine,” which the “Glee” star described as “so special,” was both Monteith and Michele’s favorite song, and “it’s about committing yourself to someone for life.” She further explained that it’s the personal nature of the record that’s helping her to heal. “It has been, by far, in all honestly, the worst year of my life and I’m thankful that this [song ‘Cannonball’] is out now to create some light and positivity and joy at the end of the year,” she said. “I think that somehow through all of that, this [song] came out and it is an incredible representation of who I am, what I feel and how I’d like to come out of the gate as an artist. And I don’t know how that happened in the midst of everything that went down, but it did.” – Read more at MTV
