‘American Idol’ Mentor Scott Borchetta Hails Show’s Heavy-Metal Success – “American Idol is the only show with so many platinum artists and careers,” Borchetta told Rolling Stone Country before the American Country Countdown Awards, where he wore a solid black suit with “Music Has Value” handwritten on it in big block letters. “And that’s not disrespecting other shows, that’s just a fact.” – Read more at Rollingstone.com

Jason Derulo: Jordin Sparks Is Lying About the “Leased” BMW Gift, Shares Supposed Evidence – Sparks, 25, apparently offended Derulo in her interview with Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club, when she claimed that the BMW he had gifted her wasn’t even purchased. (After their fall 2014 split, Sparks got rid of the luxury vehicle off at the dealership. It was there that she supposedly discovered it was leased.) Derulo, peeved by his ex-girlfriend’s latest comments, took to his Instagram hours later to defend himself. “Women Lie, Men Lie, Numbers Don’t Lie!” the “How Bout Now” singer, 25, wrote, alongside a photo of a “Vehicle Bill of Sale.” The snap included bold red circles around the most relevant information, including the name of the car buyer: “Jason J Desrouleaux,” which is Derulo’s full name. He also circled “4 Door Sedan” next to car type, and highlighted the selling price of $74,431.22, as well as the Dealer Administrative Fee of $599.00. – Read more at US Magazine

Carrie Underwood Explains How She Knew “Something in the Water” Was a Stand-Out Track – Carrie Underwood is closing in on yet another #1 hit with her latest single, “Something in the Water.” She co-wrote the songs with some of her long-time collaborators, and Carrie had a good feeling about “Something in the Water” from the very beginning. She says, “I knew while we were writing ‘Something in the Water’ that we really had something special. This was one that as it was happening, I was recording stuff on my phone. Like, ‘Oh, my gosh.’ Like, ‘Let’s do it again. I can make that better. We can do this better.’” – Read more at ABC News Radio

From Bullying to Boyfriends to Bear Icon – When you found out Dave would be in a romantic relationship with Blaine, did that shock you? The first thing was a big smile, because I was excited to get to work with Darren [Criss] and Chris [Colfer] again. Six years later, we have such history both on and off set, and there’s such a rapport. It’s a cooler experience to not come on the set as this fresh face, wide eyed, innocent kid anymore. It’s like you’re working with your friends. Everything shocks me with Glee, but at a certain point, you forfeit and surrender to the powers that be. They know what they’re doing. So far, they’ve created some of the best television shows that are going to live in history forever. Whatever they decide to do, I’m on board. Who am I to creatively challenge any of them? I’m just excited to have the opportunity to be back on set. – Read more at Out.com
