411Music Interviews: American Idol Winner Taylor Hicks – Al Norton: I don’t want this to sound sarcastic because I don’t mean it that way but you’ve worked very steadily after winning Idol, doing tours, playing Broadway, doing a reality show, and now you’ve got this great gig in Vegas, so does it bother you when the media puts you in the “where are they now?” category? I’m best when I’m being real.” She adds, “Singing takes all the emotions out of me. Like, sometimes when I sing a Janis Joplin song, it feels almost as if her spirit jumped into me and I almost feel a blackout from all the pure emotion. I don’t know how to explain it.” – Read more at Charleston City Paper
