Idol Headlines for 11/28/13

Happy Thanksgiving Americans! Eat lots of Turkey (or veggies if you’re veg!) and have fun.

Kellie Pickler appears on the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Carrie Underwood and the Von Trapp children were scheduled, but it looks like their performance was cancelled to keep everyone healthy for next week’s live performance.

However, Carrie Underwood is still set for Late Night with Jimmy Fallon tonight on NBC at 11:35/10:35c

Tonight, two contestants leave the X Factor. Michael Buble and Demi Lovato perform. 8/7c pm FOX. Puppets take over Glee in “Puppet Master” at 9/8c pm FOX

I’ll be spending most of the day with family. I’ll be around to live blog X Factor, but my Glee recap will be very late, and probably abbreviated. I’ll have a discussion post up for those who want to chat.

But if you’re heading to the moon, it helps to have pros with you, and Ashford — who turned Harry Potter’s Daniel Radcliffe into a song-and-dance man in Broadway’s “How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying” — has a top-flight team, starting with co-director Beth McCarthy-Miller, who knows plenty about live TV, having directed “Saturday Night Live” for more than a decade. – Read more at In The Wings

‘The Voice’ exit Q&A: Caroline Pennell talks about applying to college, being the last singer on Team Cee Lo – ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY:How are you feeling after Tuesday’s eliminations?
Caroline Pennell: I’m feeling all right. It’s definitely bittersweet but… I’ll be back in a couple of weeks for the finale. You were the last remaining member of Team Cee Lo — how did it feel to be representing him in the top eight? It felt good. At this point it was kind of an individual game and we were all on one team, but I wish that he could have made it to the end, but I think that we both agreed on being okay with this and moving forward in a positive way. – Read more at Entertainment Weekly
