Carrie Underwood and Hubby Mike Fisher Just Knew They Were Having a Baby Boy – Carrie Underwood and her husband, Mike Fisher, both had a feeling they were having a baby boy, but they didn’t want to find out in the doctor’s office during her sonogram. Carrie explains, “It’s kind of a sterile place. We got to see all the pictures and everything. It was really cool to see that, but whenever she’d get near, near those parts we would look away.” Instead, Carrie and Mike took the envelope containing the news of the baby’s sex with them out to a nice restaurant. “[It was] just the two of us in a nicer setting, but we both knew,” Carrie says. “So, that was just confirming our suspicions. We didn’t really speak of it before, ’cause we were both just like, ‘Whatever. It’s all good.’ But we knew it was a boy.” – Read more at ABC News Radio

Country singer will preview anticipated sophomore album Casey James’ evolution – “My label is behind me,” James said. “Now, I didn’t really get the numbers coming off [the debut] so it surprises me I’m still around. I’ve seen a lot of turnover at the label and that to me says they’re excited and dedicated. That’s a big thing. It frees me up. And in this situation, I’m looking at it going in that this is it. There will not be anything else unless there is success here. I’m OK with that.” Part of that excitement stems from news songs such as the slow and bluesy “A Woman’s Touch,” to the pop sounding “Another You” and melodic “Light Years.” James said the latter track has almost a Coldplay vibe. “The country music genre changed,” James said. “I grew up listening to many different genres, one of which was country. And when I say country, I mean it was very country. Now country is a wide open genre.” – Read more at Vindy.com

All about the new songs in ‘Peter Pan Live!’ — and how the show’s handling ‘Ugg-a-Wugg’ – In addition to classics like “I Won’t Grow Up” and “I’m Flying,” NBC’s upcoming live production of Peter Pan will feature some songs unfamiliar even to those who wore out their VHS copies of the Mary Martin movie. Peter Pan Live! enlisted Amanda Green—the daughter of one of Peter Pan‘s original lyricists, Adolph Green, and a Broadway veteran in her own right—to help expand the show with new lyrics for pre-existing melodies. “It fleshed out the show. It deepened the characters, it kind of drove plot more—which good songs do in musicals. Amanda was just wonderful in capturing the spirit of her father and [Green’s partner] Betty Comden,” executive producer Neil Meron told EW. – Read more at Entertainment Weekly

Liam Payne gave an explanation for his pal, saying “He’s got a tummy bug so he’s not very well at the moment so he couldn’t make it over.” The Today host pushed further, saying, “There’s obviously a lot of concern, a lot of fans have been tweeting overnight. There’s been a lot of action on social media about him. Is it something more serious than just a minor illness? There have been rumors of substance abuse. What’s going on?” “I’m really angry and upset by what was said on the Today show,” the pop star told The Sun. “I was really ill at the weekend, that’s why I couldn’t fly to America.” “I was gutted to have to miss album release day, but I’m going to be back as soon as I can,” he added. “As soon as I’m feeling better I’m going to join the guys and carry on with the promotion for the album.” – Read more at US Magazine
