Michelle Chamuel faces the fire with new album – Michelle Chamuel knew immediately what she wanted to do after departing season 4 of “The Voice.” She hoped to make a “well-crafted pop album” with “memorable” and “honest” songs. “I’ve been actively studying pop since I was in seventh grade…I think pop has a real wide range of influences,” said Chamuel, who cites producer/songwriter Max Martin as one of them. Dancing’s Derek Hough: It’s Been a Rocky Week – Semifinals! I can’t believe the season is almost over. We have the samba and contemporary this week, and I’ll be honest, it’s been kind of rocky so far. I had a creative block. It’s not just a creative block because I am thinking of things, but it’s a point where I’m just not satisfied. I want to do something different. I’m not happy with certain things. On Wednesday, I stayed late and I literally tortured myself until we had this breakthrough and ideas started flowing. This tends to happen at least once a season where I hit a creative wall. Any idea I thought of, I didn’t like it. It could’ve been a fantastic idea, but I hated it. I was in this weird place and I kind had to work it out in my mind myself.
