Exclusive: Scotty McCreery Hints He Will Open Big Tour in 2015 – Scotty McCreery has been headlining his own tour in 2014, but the country crooner will move into the opening slot in the New Year. During a new interview with Cody, the American Idol champ dropped exclusive scoop that he’s gearing up for a tour with a mystery superstar. “Next year we’ll be out on the road with a big ole act as well in the summer,” Scotty reveals. “I’ve not been able to talk about it, but it’ll be fun.” – Read more at Buckeye Country

‘Nashville’ Stars Clare Bowen and Sam Palladio Prep Solo Albums – Both Clare Bowen and Sam Palladio are doing a little moonlighting in their rare time off from filming Nashville. Bowen, who plays struggling songwriter Scarlett O’Connor on the ABC musical drama, and Palladio, who plays rags-to-riches songwriter Gunnar Scott, are each prepping solo albums (as themselves) for 2015. “We’ve recorded a couple things and I’ve been writing and writing and writing,” Bowen tells Rolling Stone Country. “I’ve met some wonderful people who are generous with their time and creativity. That’s the way Nashville is as a city.” Bowen, who is a classically-trained singer with an ethereal, Alison Krauss-like voice, has teamed with legendary producer T Bone Burnett — who has also worked with Krauss and with the entire Nashville cast — for the album. – Read more at Rolling Stone

Ready Set Records Adds Folk Duo Elenowen – Husband-and-Wife folk duo Elenowen has joined the esteemed roster of Ready Set Records. The duo is set to release a new record in January 2015 and will begin a tour this Sunday (November 16) in Decatur, GA. They were featured on the inaugural season of NBC’s The Voice and released their debut album, Pulling Back The Veil in 2010. Sir Paul McCartney paid over $1 million to perform at conference – Sir Paul McCartney was paid more than $1 million to perform at billionaire Ron Baron’s New York investment conference.
McCartney and Carrie Underwood, who also collected a large fee, headlined Baron Capital’s investors meeting at the Metropolitan Opera House Friday. The stars played to 4,000 investors after a performance from the cast of “Show Boat,” including Vanessa Williams. A source said, “It would have cost $2 million to get both McCartney and Underwood, and that’s before you’ve paid for their bands.” – Read more at New York Post
