Idol Camp is coming back next summer in a new location, a private campus in the “picturesque” San Bernardino mountains. Last year, the camp took place on the grounds of a private school in western Massachusetts.
The camp curriculum will be the same–kids can chose from an array of arts classes, including singing, dancing and acting. They’ll also have access to traditional camp activities like swimming and team sports.
The camp is expanding, to a two-week session, and will enroll children ages 10-15 (last year it was 12-15).
Idol camp promises visits from guest artists and past American Idols. Last year, soul singer Macy Gray appeared. Idols Ace Young, Jon Peter Lewis, Bucky Covington and Vonzell Solomon were also on hand to perform and teach master classes.
There will be 5 sessions this summer, beginning in June: June 15 – June 28, June 29 – July 12, July 13 – July 26, July 27 – August 9, August 10 – August 23.
And, it’s still really expensive. Tuition for the 14-day session is $2, 995 and does not include transportation to the camp. Although, there are some fully-paid scholarships available based on financial need.
Potential students can enroll here. Go, go campers!
