I don’t want to dwell too much on this week’s Idol Billboard Update, which you can peruse right HERE (please do– that damn thing takes so long to put together. heh). This week is merely the lull before storm. The twin storms of David, that is. We’ve got David Archuleta’s numbers next week, and David Cook’s the week after that.
No, I think I’m going to take it easy this week.
I’ll just point out a couple of this week’s new entries.
- David Cook’s “Light On” enters the Mainstream Top 40 at #40. It also moves up a full 5 spots on the Hot Adult Top 40 Tracks chart, earning it Billboard’s “Airpower” distinction.
- Mandisa’s Christmas album, “It’s Christmas” debuts on the Top Christian and Gospel albums chart at#64.
- Elliott Yamin’s “In Love With You Forever” debuts on the Japan Hot 100 at #79
- Congratulations to Jennifer Hudson. Her album, Jennifer Hudson, is now certified gold. She’s sold a total of 413K so far, and is currently #16 on the Billboard 200 and #2 on the Top R&B and Hip/Hop albums chart.
