America’s Got Talent judge Howie Mandel is about to represent his home country Canada! The comedy star is among the judges set for the panel of Canada’s Got Talent on Citytv.

Howie joins former NBC late-night talk show host Lilly Singh, rapper and producer Kardinal Offishall and wrestling star Trish Stratus as Canada’s Got Talent judges.

Country-pop singer Lindsay Ell is set to host the Great White North version of Got Talent, which originally aired for one season in 2012.

Martin Short, Measha Brueggergosman and Stephan Moccio were judges on the OG version, which was canceled after only one season.

Production on the latest season of Canada’s Got Talent begins in Niagara Falls, Ont., in November with a live audience operating under COVID-19 protocols.

The show is set to premiere in spring 2022.

Howie is the longest running member of the America’s Got Talent judges panel, having completed his 11th season in September alongside Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum and Sofia Vergara.

Howie announced his new gig on Instagram, captioning a video, “Excited to be heading home!”

“Hey Canada, I have an announcement!” Howie says in the clip. “The bathrooms are open! And I’m also going to be a judge on Canada’s Got Talent.” He adds, “There’s got to be so many amazingly talented Canadians! The reason I say that, is cause *POINTS TO SELF*”

Or CGT could just import talent from all over the world like AGT does!
