AXS Patio Sessions: Scotty McCreery plays new songs, talks new album – Country music star Scotty McCreery is set to release his third studio album Seasons Change on March 16, and a few weeks before the release McCreery stopped by the AXS Patio for a special, intimate performance of five new songs off of the upcoming album. “I think anyone that’s going from 17 to 24 (years old), you know it’s just seven years and it doesn’t seem like a lot in the big scheme of life, but those are big deals for anybody,” McCreery told AXS. “You’re moving on your own, you’re going to college, you’re paying your own bills, there’s a lot going on. American Idol alums offers advice for contestants on new series – American Idol alums Melissa McGhee and Jay Rosenberg have a simple piece of advice for contestants on the new version of the iconic series set to debut on ABC at 8 p.m. today. “Be yourself,” Melissa and Jay said. Jay Rosenberg made it to Hollywood, appearing on the Fox series during season 4. Melissa McGhee finished among the Top 12 final contestants during season 5 of the then Number 1 television show. Since Idol, Melissa has gone on tour with many other American Idols and stars.
