American Idol 11 winner Phillip Phillips announces fall tour

“I can’t believe it’s been 10 years since my first album came out! This fall,” Phillip Phillips writes on social media. “I am celebrating 10 years with the Where We Came From tour. We’ll be playing some of your favorites from my debut record, plus sneaking in a few new songs. @aauthorsmusic will be out with us for a bit!” The singer adds in another post, “Tickets are on sale Friday at 10am local time! Be sure to join my email list for a code to get early access code for tickets tomorrow! Check out VIP options when you buy your tickets! Those will be quite special! Clay Aiken to host on ‘Wheel of Fortune’ live tour. Info on cities & tickets – “Wheel of Fortune LIVE!” will make more than 60 stops on an upcoming tour this fall, bringing “an all-new theatrical experience” and live-stage version of the popular TV game show to local theaters and venues across the U.S. The tour announced Monday that the production will feature “American Idol” star Clay Aiken and Mark L. Walberg, longtime host of PBS’ “Antiques Roadshow” as rotating hosts throughout the tour. “Being able to host ‘Wheel of Fortune’ on tour is such an honor and I can’t wait to watch so many people win!” Aiken said in the tour announcement. While the tour will include a few North Carolina stops, Aiken, a native of the state, won’t be hosting those. Kenedi Anderson to play concert with American Idol alums

Kenedi Anderson has been laying low since dropping out of American Idol season 20 after the Top 24. But now she is playing a concert with American Idol alums at The Velour in Provo Utah on September 8. HunterGirl plays show at the the Grand Ole Opry House

The American Idol season 20 runner-up, HunterGirl, hasn’t played the Grand Ole Opry YET. But on Sunday (June 21), she played a show at the Grand Ole Opry House, and it made her very emotional! “I have dreamed of playing at the @opry since I was a little girl,” Hunter captioned an Instagram gallery of BTS photos. “Last Sunday one of my biggest dreams came true. My first time at the Grand Ole Opry. So many happy tears!! I will remember this night for the rest of my life. I can’t believe I got to stand in the circle that so many country music legends have stood. Thank you so much to @grindhousenash and @remax for having me. The last picture means so much to me. I am so blessed that I got to have my family with me. Thank you so much to everyone who has followed my music journey and believed in me. This past year has been so special. Arthur Gunn appointed as goodwill ambassador – American Idol season 18 runner-up Arthur Gunn has been playing shows in his native country, Napal. Arthur Gunn is a stage name for Dibesh Pokharel, who has been appointed a Goodwill Ambassador for Napal’s tourism industry. “Culture Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Jeevan Ram Shrestha have expressed the belief that Pokharel, who has made an important contribution to make Nepal known to the world through his talent, will contribute more to the promotion of the natural and cultural heritage of Nepal, which is full of natural beauty, biological and cultural diversity. Pokharel, who was born in Ravi Bhawan in Kathmandu and went to America for higher education, became popular after his strong presence on the stage of “American Idol”. ‘American Idol’ winner Noah Thompson promises a rockin’ show at the Kentucky State Fair – Another big change in Thompson’s life is getting used to the limelight. He told The Courier Journal that since winning “American Idol” a simple trip to pick up cereal and milk at the grocery store or a swing by the service station to fill up his gas tank has become more challenging. “It took me at least 20 minutes to leave the gas station last night,” Thompson said. “Everyone wants to stop and talk, which is not a bad thing; it’s nice they care. Paula Abdul and Quinton Aaron Lead Glamorous Hamptons Party for Prince William’s Beloved Charity – Prince William’s beloved wildlife charity has some star supporters. Singer and dancer Paula Abdul and The Blind Side actor Quinton Aaron got together on Friday for a soirée raising money and awareness for the Duke of Cambridge’s treasured Tusk Trust charity. The Karibu Africa party — held at the Bridgehampton home of Amy and Gary Green — also aided the African Community Conservation Fund. The ACCF and Tusk are united in helping community outreach programs, wildlife protection and anti-poaching efforts, as well as combating rising food poverty in East and Southern Africa, particularly Tanzania, Rwanda, Mozambique and Zimbabwe.
