Miley Cyrus Will Not Tone Down Her Wardrobe For ‘The Voice’ – Stylist Simone Harouche opens up about dressing the show’s newest coach: “Miley is always going to be true to herself, regardless of the event or show.” According to her longtime stylist, Simone Harouche, the singer will be just as flashy as always. Previews for NBC’s hit competition show, which premieres Sunday evening, seemed to indicate that she’d be a little more covered up, but the Miley flair is still clearly intact (see Cyrus dressed as Mugatu from Zoolander). – Read more at Hollywood Reporter

Kellie Pickler, in Lancaster Friday, isn’t phased by reality show success – Pickler’s already looking ahead to her next project — a new album — and says she’s excited to get to work on it. She plans to start writing and selecting songs this fall or winter. “I just really want to take my time, find some songs that I love, write some songs that I love, and get that ball rolling again,” Pickler says. She doesn’t have a rigid direction for her next record. True to Pickler’s easygoing personality, she plans to go with the flow. “I think I’m just going to let it organically happen and see how everything falls into place,” Pickler says. “I think that’s how the best times do.” – Read more at LancasterOnline

With ‘The Voice on Snapchat,’ NBC opens a new front for itself and advertisers – Forget pop stars in spinning chairs. NBC will find out if swiping thumbs can help boost the network’s reach among young viewers. On Monday, NBCUniversal will team up with Snapchat, the photo messaging app, by providing mini TV shows that are offshoots of its established properties. The rollout begins with “The Voice on Snapchat,” a five-part series in which this season’s coaches — Alicia Keys, Miley Cyrus, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton — judge user-submitted videos, with winners potentially appearing on the Sept. 19 broadcast premiere of the reality competition’s 11th season. The partnership between Comcast-owned NBCUniversal and Snapchat Inc. not only underscores the photo-based messaging app’s ambitions to grow beyond a communication platform into a viable entertainment destination, but also highlights Hollywood’s race to seize the attention of young viewers who would rather surf apps than TV channels. – Read more at LA Times

Harry Connick Jr’s Talk Show Scrambles for Guests – Even ‘Idol’ Judge JLo Won’t Commit (Exclusive) – Harry Connick Jr. is having a tough time getting famous friends to turn up for his new daytime talk show, The Wrap has learned. “Harry,” which NBC is syndicating to nationwide markets starting September 12, has reached out to the singer’s former colleagues on “American Idol” for guest appearances during the show’s crucial early weeks. But ex-“Idol” judges Jennifer Lopez and Keith Urban, along with host Ryan Seacrest, have yet to commit, sources close to the situation say. Nor are they the only A-listers to blow off “Harry.” Former big-screen co-stars Sandra Bullock and Jodie Foster haven’t said yes either, and the show has gotten a “thanks, but no thanks” from pop stars Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, Katy Perry and Taylor Swift. Melissa McCarthy passed too. Part of the problem is that “Harry” is a new talk show that no one has seen yet, and celebrities and their handlers tend to want to know what an environment is like before they go on set. – Read more at The Wrap
