Singer with regional ties talks about time on ‘The Voice’ – Q: So let’s talk about the show. What has your experience on “The Voice” taught you about the industry as well as performing? A: Actually, it’s really connected me with my family. I didn’t know that bond could get stronger. But I’ve realized how important love is and how important it is for me to keep my love bank full. And when you’re with people on the show, you become like family, too, because you’re united in that same goal of shedding a little light and love on the world through music. Survivor: Jeff Probst reveals the show’s slowest voter ever – ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: Will wins the first individual immunity challenge and he is your youngest player ever at 18. What were the discussions like about casting someone still in high school on the show and what did you see from him once he got out there in Fiji?
JEFF PROBST: It was pretty easy. We met Will and he was an instant favorite. I’m not sure that I even knew his age until later. We have information on everybody we meet in casting, but I often don’t read it because I like to form my own opinions. Then I learned he was still in high school, which was really exciting since we’ve never had a high-schooler on the show! Will said it was not a problem — school and family were okay with it. That was it. He was on. – Read more at EW.com

Dancing’s Derek Hough: I Don’t Know If I’ll Return Next Season – I don’t know if I’ll be back next season. It’s too early to say. That show will always be my family. Right now, I’m working on Hairspray. Julianne and I are also hosting Thanksgiving and Christmas specials for ABC. We were rehearsing until like 11 p.m. last night for it. It’s going to be fun. I love Disney and ABC, so I’m stoked to be doing this. The Thanksgiving one airs Thanksgiving at 8/7c and the Christmas ones airs Christmas at 8/7c. – Read more at TVGuide
