‘American Idol’: Orlando singer grateful for second chance – Alyssa [Raghu] next performs in the celebrity-duets round with Julia Michaels on that singer’s “Issues.” Those episodes air at 8 p.m. Sunday and Monday; Alyssa sings Monday. The high-school junior, who is home-schooled, said Michaels “loves doing her job. I want to do that.” “I know some people may question my song choices and my abilities to do certain things,” Alyssa said. “But I have a plan. 3 Red Oak American Idol contestants talk celebrity judges, Hollywood – Darren Eubank and Chima Ijeh slowly made their way down a hallway they’ve never traveled, listening tentatively to directions while doing their best to remain composed. About 15 minutes pass and the two are taken into another private holding room. “We were actually pretty shocked that we weren’t on the initial audition episode because they were calling our names more than anyone else in New York,” Ijeh said. When hunger struck, the contestants were left stranded in the warehouse with nothing but small bags of snacks and an unlimited supplied of Lipton Tea (the company is one of the show’s sponsors). On Cassadee Pope’s last day opening for Maren Morris on her Girl: The World Tour she pulled a funny prank on the singer. On the Los Angeles tour stop (March 30) Cassadee asked Marren’s merchandise manager, “Matty Merch,” to be her stand-in the singer’s duet. Hilarity ensued.

High Times owner hopes stoner mag will see green with new CEO – The debt-laden owner of stoner magazine High Times has tapped an entertainment executive to be its new chief as it seeks to compete in the increasingly crowded marijuana marketplace through conferences, award ceremonies and other live events. High Times Holdings on Wednesday named Kraig Fox, a director of Dick Clark Productions, as its new CEO.
