Hank Williams Jr., Lauren Alaina + More Join Smoky Mountains Rise Telethon – The star power continues to grow for Dolly Parton‘s Smoky Mountains Rise: A Benefit for the My People Fund telethon, which will be held on Dec. 13 at 8PM ET. Additional artists just announced for the telecast include Hank Williams Jr., Cyndi Lauper, Alabama, Don McLean, Ronnie Dunn, Jamey Johnson and Lauren Alaina. The event will be broadcast on GAC, AXS-TV, RFD and the Heartland Network. Previously announced acts include: Chris Stapleton, Chris Young, Amy Grant, Reba McEntire, Kenny Rogers, Alison Krauss, Chris Janson, Big & Rich, Michael W. The first at coming in second: The holidays and politics with Clay Aiken – Thirteen years ago, Clay Aiken was runner-up on “American Idol.” In the years since, the 37-year-old has started a family, published a New York Times best-selling memoir, moved 6 million albums and sold out 11 nationwide concert tours. DUET NOT FINN-ISHED Adam Lambert hints at collaboration with X Factor runner-up Saara Aalto and predicts she will have a big future ahead – Speaking at the BBC Music Awards, he told The Sun Online: “She’s lovely it was so much fun. Sara is exactly what you see on camera… She’s sweet and down to earth.
