Nick Fradiani interview: American Idol winner picks up Where We Left Off – “There’s some songs that are a little more pop, there’s some songs that have a full choir, and another song that almost has a blues feel to it,” he told us. “I tried to put all my influences into this and put myself into it as much as I possibly could. “I think so far for me as a musician, it was kind of the best writing and recording process I’ve had in a long time,” Fradiani continued. “I think it’s going to show for listeners, especially the people that have been following me for a long time. Disney/ABC TV Group Starts Layoffs As Part Of Cost-Cutting & Restructuring – The looming layoffs at Disney/ABC Television Group have become a reality. Sources say the company today has started notifying employees who are being impacted by the reductions. I hear the number of staffers who will be leaving is lower than what had been previously speculated. I hear it is in the 100-200 range, mostly in non-content and operational areas of the company. At each of the entertainment divisions, ABC Entertainment, ABC Studio, Disney Channel, DisneyXD, Disney Junior, and Freeform, there is a handful of people impacted. – Read more at Deadline
