Headlines: Kellie Pickler, Ruben Studdard, Haley Reinhart

Through the ups and downs, Ruben Studdard perseveres (concert is May 6, Kelly-Strayhorn Stage!) – “I’m definitely looking forward to coming back to Pittsburgh,” Studdard told the New Pittsburgh Courier. “Every time I come, the people are very inviting and I have a good time. Whether I’m performing for 100 people or thousands, I give 100 percent and I want to make sure that people enjoy the performance. I’m going to give my all for the people.” Pittsburghers may have last seen Studdard as Petey in Sherri Johnson’s “Bold & Sanctified II” last year. But the evening will allow the audience to get up close and personal with the humble, dimple-cheeked singer. – Read more at the Pittsburgh Courier

Ramey lost on ‘The Voice,’ but still won – He has acknowledged that his rise to popularity on the show was not without problems. Rehearsing his songs, he found that working with Stefani could be a challenge. “[She] and I approach music in a different way,” he explained. “She’s strict about keeping the original melody, and I’m the total opposite of that, so it was kind of difficult in some respects to try to make her happy all the time, because I sing a certain way that fits my voice.”
And “Chandelier,” he said, was a song about which they especially disagreed. Nonetheless, Ramey said, he has “nothing but love” for Stefani. “I’d listen to her advice and do my best to make her proud,” he said, “but ultimately, what’s going to come out of my mouth is what feels the best and what will sound the best.” – Read more at LIHerald.com

Mark Ballas & BC Jean Open Up About Married Life, the ‘Sexual’ Way They Piece Together Their Music – “[It’s] better this way,” added Jean. “I mean, we bicker all the time, that’s how we survive through life, that’s just how we, you know — love and war. That’s what we do.” Jean said their musical partnership is like a “sexual puzzle,” joking that when they get writer’s block, they just “make out and figure it out later.” “You love puzzles,” Ballas joked, telling ET that when Jean asks to “just take a little break,” he usually suggests they finish it right then and there. “I’m like, ‘Babe, I can’t come up with anything. You’re really going to have to find a way for me to get some inspiration.'” – Read more at ETOnline

What’s Next For Nick Viall? Dancing With the Stars Contestant Is Ready to “Get Polished” – In the tongue-in-cheek piece, which Viall just posted to his social media, the Bachelor star considered the road taken by so many former leads and contestants before him. But instead of promoting weight-loss teas or tacky sunglasses (no offense), he’s banking on his boyish good looks and grooming skills with the debut of The Polished Gent, a delivery service for men that offers products Viall promises will keep them looking fresh. As Viall said himself in the promo, “I’m 36 years old—and I think I look young as f–k!” – Read more at EOnline
