CMA RESPECT: A FEW QUESTIONS FOR JENNIFER HUDSON – Country isn’t a forward influence, yet it was in Franklin’s music. I feel like country music and gospel music are a huge base of it. One of my favorite things to do is tell stories through a song. Music can create a scene that fills in what you didn’t even know you had. It brings people into that place or that moment. It brings me to the Country Music Association Awards. Somehow we have common ground because we’re all here for the love of music, right? – Read more at HitsDailyDouble
Exclusive Interview: Kris Allen Chats “Hello, Mr. Right Next Door”, His Fall Tour, and More – P-C: Tell us about “Hello, Mr. Right Next Door”. Kris: Yeah, it’s possibly one of my favorite songs. That’s hard to say because I have a lot of favorite songs of mine, which is a weird thing to say, [laughs] but it’s my favorite song that I’ve written in a long time. It started as a really simple idea. The song is called “Hello, Mr. Right Next Door”. There’s this old man that lived next to me. We passed each other all the time, but we never talked. While he was still here, I started writing this song essentially as a conversation and all the questions that I could possibly ever have to ask him. I had a couple of verses and I really liked it. I played it for a few people, and it just never felt finished. Sadly, he passed away. He lived a long life—he was 93. Then the idea came to me, I was like, “I have to finish this song now.” It became very evident to me what this song’s ending was about. So, I finished it, and I couldn’t be happier with it. It’s one of my favorites. – Read more at Pop-Culturalist.com

Hoot became friends with The Tenors, after they praised him on social media, following his performance of their rendition of “Wintersong” with Kelly Clarkson, during The Voice finale in 2019. – Read more at Everything Nash
