‘DWTS’ will be on ‘lockdown’ following Ryan Lochte protest – Security will be very tight at Monday night’s “Dancing with the Stars” show. “They have ramped up security even through rehearsals and for the crew,” a source told Page Six. The additional security measures come one week after hecklers rushed the stage during Ryan Lochte’s performance. “It was very scary,” the insider, who was present during the fiasco, told us. “You didn’t know what was going on. Security handled it very poorly.” This week, audience members can expect a lengthier process upon arriving to the Television City studio in Hollywood. – Read more at Page Six

Carrie Underwood fan removed from bathroom by security who thinks she’s a man – A lesbian woman was allegedly told to leave the women’s bathroom by a staff at the Los Angeles Staples Center after they misgendered her as a man. Mary Looper was attending her idol Carrie Underwood’s ‘The Storyteller Tour’ concert with her aunt on Wednesday. When they were in the women’s bathroom, a female security officer had reportedly stood outside her stall, asking for her to prove her gender. Looper first described the incident on her Facebook account. ‘Usually I don’t want to put my drama out there but ignorant people still exist and it breaks my heart… They literally just tried to escort me out of the women’s restroom at the #staplescenter… Shame on them,’ she wrote. – Read more at Gay Star News

How Mark Burnett Feels About Being Blamed for Donald Trump’s Political Ascension by Jimmy Kimmel – “I’ve known Jimmy Kimmel for many, many years. He’s hilarious, I love him,” Burnett told reporters backstage. “It’s easy to be a good sport; it’s comedy.” “I’m sure Donald’s thrilled with Jimmy,” Burnett says. “I bet he’s emailing Jimmy right now, thanks so much for the free publicity.” He added, “How much free media can any one person get?” – Read more at People.com

Carrie Underwood at home in the spotlight – Eleven years later, Underwood nightly helms one of country music’s most visually adventurous and elaborate productions, belting out hit after hit surrounded by fireworks and lasers, expertly navigating four in-the-round stages while engaging audiences at every side and corner of the arena. “It’s a huge undertaking, but it’s a great show,” Underwood told The Tennessean. “I still feel like I’m working towards being comfortable in my own skin as a performer. I’ll probably never get there. I should always be striving for new goals and challenging myself, and it’s good to be nervous because that means you care.” – Read more at The Tennessean

Sarah Potenza Talks ‘Instant Fame’ of ‘The Voice’: Ram Report – The Voice begins its 11th season tonight, thrusting a new class of unknown singers into the limelight. But Team Blake alum Sarah Potenza says the idea of “instant fame” is a misconception. “The criticism about the instant fame kind of bothers me because people see it as a shortcut or an easy way in, but it’s not. It’s really hard to be on this show,” says the big-voiced singer, who released her new album Monster last month. “When I tell you you have to give 200 percent, it’s not an understatement. You have to be the absolute best version of yourself every moment of every day.” – Read more at Rolling Stone

‘The Voice’ Producers Yay, We Won an Emmy … And Screw Kimmel! – Producers Ashley Baumann-Sylvester and Barton Kimball were thrilled to have won an Emmy for “The Voice” … maybe Ashley more so than Barton. We got them leaving The Governor’s Ball Sunday where they riffed on the suggestion that Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys would make good Supreme Court justices. Check out the clip — Ashley loses sight of the question … all in good fun. We even asked about Jimmy Kimmel faking out the Emmy crowd with a Bill Cosby introduction … they had some choice words for that too. – See the Video at TMZ

‘The Voice’ Producer Mark Burnett Wants an Invite to Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani’s Wedding – “I am really really hoping to get invited to the wedding!” he told Us Weekly and other reporters in the press room. “One thing I think of on a very serious note is people go through peaks and valleys and light and dark times in their life. So you always have to hope their is light in their journeys. In the case of Blake and Gwen, both have had some dark times emotionally in their relationships.” – Read more at US Magazine

Christina Grimmie’s fans respond to her Emmys ‘In Memoriam’ absence – Christina Grimmie was noticeably left out of the Emmys “In Memoriam” segment, which honored late stars ranging from screen and television to sports and music. What to Expect From The Voice’s Season 11 Premiere – Good Genes: It wouldn’t be a season of The Voice without some celebrity offspring. And while Candace Cameron Bure’s daughter, who auditioned this season, doesn’t make the opener, we do see two children of musicians (albeit of the non-superstar variety) and one daughter of a pro basketball player. Questionable Passes: While sometimes when no coaches turn you fully understand why, during tonight’s episode there’s one great singer who doesn’t manage to get anyone to push a button. The coaches all explain what was missing, but we’re still not hearing it… Brushes With Stardom: One of the auditioners was a swimmer as a kid, and swam against Michael Phelps in the Junior Olympics! – Read more at E News
