Not only will this year mark Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley‘s 10th time hosting the event, it will also be the first major country music award show since the deadly shooting at the Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas, during which 58 country music fans were killed and more than 500 wounded. Katharine McPhee & David Foster What Game? – The Lakers beat the Memphis Grizzlies Sunday night in L.A., but David Foster and his new gf, Katharine McPhee, might not have noticed.
The two had great seats, but it didn’t matter because it looked like Katharine was more into David’s convo than Lonzo Ball’s ball skills.
They’ve been spotted together all over town the last couple of weeks, and were even snapped smooching. So far no official statement on the status of their relationship, but the body language pretty much says it all. – See pap photos at TMZ

Haley Reinhart: ‘Everything Happens for a Reason’ – We first met bubbly singer Haley Reinhart during season 10 of “American Idol,” where she captured both the hearts of many and the third-place slot. The group’s swing jazz version of the Radiohead song “Creep” got a kagillion (it’s a word) views/streams. For her latest CD, Miss Reinhart takes an unexpected music travel back in time to the ‘60s with “What’s That Sound?” a collection of the era’s greatest gems sung with a fresh take and musical passion by the twentysomething. – Read more at Washington Times

Kelly Clarkson weighs in on that time Avril Lavigne elbowed her at the VMAs – “It was her,” Clarkson said, “but I will say this: Years later she saw me and she said, ‘Oh my gosh, I don’t know, people keep saying I elbowed you in the face, and I’m so sorry!’ … She did it, but I don’t know if she felt bad about it, or, like, she didn’t mean to do it or what.
