Jordin Sparks Says Quarantine Has Proven Her Marriage Was Meant to Be (Exclusive) – Sparks said that it was a bit stressful to navigate the pandemic when everything first went into lockdown. But, now, months into this new normal, the “Homebody” singer is simply enjoying being able to spend time with her husband and young son. (Sparks and Isaiah initially wed in July 2017. They welcomed their first child together, DJ, in May 2018.) “Now it’s like nine months later and we’re all still figuring out what to do, but I’m really grateful that I’ve been able to spend time at home,” Sparks told PopCulture.com exclusively while promoting her partnership with Kalahari Resorts, which just opened up the largest indoor waterpark location in Texas in mid-November. “For me personally, even before I won the American Idol, I hadn’t been in one place this long consecutively. So for me, [it’s] been very nice to experience a home life, like enjoy my home instead of it being like a laundromat or a storage unit, you know what I mean?” As Sparks continued to explain, this quality time has been invaluable for her and the family. She even noted that spending so much quality time with her husband confirmed to her that he’s the one that she’s meant to be with. – Read more at PopCulture.com

From The Voice to The Airwaves, Jake Hoot is Making the Most of His Musical “Leap of Faith” – PC: To that point, after you were announced as winner, Kelly Clarkson is heard on the broadcast saying she was proud of you. What did Kelly’s support throughout your journey on The Voice mean to you, and what is it like to have someone so talented in your corner? JH: Oh gosh, it’s hard to even put into words. Anytime you have somebody take a chance on you, whether they’re a big star not, it’s really special. To have somebody of her caliber take a chance on me and continue to support me and push me; even since the show, she’s continued to help me out and take time out of her day to help me out, it means the world. One thing I can say that I took away from her is how to approach songs differently. She taught me to learn songs in a completely different way. Rather than just singing words, you have to live the words and have people feel those words through you. It’s been really special, and I’m really lucky that I got to be on her team! – Read more at ProCountryMusic

Johnny Weir Admits It ‘Hurts’ Being Eliminated From ‘Dancing With the Stars’: It’s a ‘Popularity Contest’ – Staying true to himself. Johnny Weir and Britt Stewart were visibly upset at the end of the Monday, November 16, episode of Dancing With the Stars. After their semifinal performances, they were the first pair eliminated when it was revealed they had the lowest number of votes by America. (Skai Jackson and Alan Bersten were also sent home after the judges chose to save Justina Machado and Sasha Farber over them.) “It hurts a lot because it definitely feels like a popularity contest more so than a dance contest but that’s part of it,” the Olympian, 36, told Us Weekly and other reporters on Monday night. “I knew what I was signing up for. I can say wholeheartedly that I would always prefer to be myself than be popular.” – Read more at USMagazine

(And PEOPLE has a first look at the cover!) “[It] alters the perception you have of yourself,” she said of being overlooked in the group originally comprised of her, Ally Brooke, Camila Cabello, Dinah Jane and Lauren Jauregui. “Having certain things happen so blatantly while also feeling like the ‘other’ and being so young and hearing the public compare [us] took a toll on my confidence.” “For a long time, I didn’t believe in myself because I didn’t feel like I was given the opportunity to,” she told the outlet. – Read more at People
