Jennifer Hudson: The Color Purple ‘Holds a Special Place in My Heart’ (VIDEO) – Jennifer Hudson will play Shug Avery in a revival of The Color Purple, starting with previews on November 10. It opens on Broadway December 10. “I’ve read the book, I’ve seen the film and I loved the original production on Broadway! [Color Purple] a timeless piece of American culture. The story holds a special place in my heart because, in part, it’s so honest. All of the characters are true to who they are. Each individual is an integral part of the message and it brings a complex emotion that sticks with the audience.” – See the Video at People

Survivor exclusive: Immunity idols to be hidden at challenges this season – “The first thing we’re doing with the idols is we’re making idols look different, so every idol will be unique,” says Probst. “One idol will look really fancy and the next idol will look like a 5-year-old made it. So when you get an idol, you’re going to have to convince somebody it’s real because they’re going to think it isn’t. But that also opens a door to make a fake idol … and they won’t know which is up and which is down. You can play all angles on this.” Also, for the first time, Jeff Probst says Idols will be hidden in the middle of challenges. – Watch Jeff Probst explain it in a video at Entertainment Weekly
