Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood Receive CMA Chairman’s Award – Back at it again, Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood have each been awarded the CMA Chairman’s Award on June 6. Paisley and Underwood were presented with the prestigious award in Nashville by former CMA Board Chairman Frank Bumstead. The CMA Awards hosting duo was also joined by CMA’s Chief Executive Officer, Sarah Trahern during the presentation.

‘American Idol’ Alum Jessica Sanchez to Perform With Andrea Bocelli This Week: ‘I Still Feel Like It’s Not Real’ – Sanchez will join the Italian tenor on Thursday at the Target Center in Minneapolis and Friday along with classical soprano Renee Fleming for a sold-out show at the Allstate Arena outside Chicago. She’s slated to perform four songs, three of which will be sung in Italian and Spanish. Sanchez is one of six singers — including Tori Kelly, Demi Lovato, Nicole Scherzinger and fellow American Idol alum, season 6 winner Jordin Sparks — who were selected to accompany Bocelli. The concerts — which will include selections from Bocelli’s latest album, Cinema, as well as select arias, love songs and crossover hits — will be conducted by Eugene Kohn. Adam Lambert is open to the idea of recording a new Queen track – “I’m certainly open to anything,” Adam recently told Digital Spy. “If something sounds cool and it’s the right thing to do at the right time, then I’m game. “I haven’t heard anything like that come up. But also, maybe it’s an issue of, is that Queen without Freddie? “To me, Queen is… that’s why we’re billed as Queen plus Adam Lambert. She just released her single and EP, both titled Summer, and she’s got a No. 1 song with Chris Young. During a visit to the Taste of Country Nights studio, Pope chatted about both, including how she and Young are celebrating their success. Pope’s Summer EP, released on June 3, is just a sample of what’s to come. She wrote three of the four songs on the release, and they all speak to her in different ways and are very “near and dear” to her heart.
