American Idol adds Four More Open Call Audition Stops
Ryan Seacrest tweeted the news on Monday. The new cities are in Texas and the Dakotas–Houston (Sept 2), San Antonio (Sept 4), Fargo (Sept 6) and Rapid City (Sept 10). American Idol auditions head to Atlanta Georgia today. Check out the schedule.

Catching up with ‘American Idol’ singers Diana DeGarmo and Ace Young – WSB-TV Saturday held an “Atlanta Idol” promotional contest promoting the show’s move to Atlanta and Tuesday’s bus auditions at Piedmont Park. Two of the judges were “American Idol” alums Diana DeGarmo and Ace Young. She is currently finishing up an EP set to come out Labor Day dubbed “Gemini,” first of three parts. She said it’s not a particular genre. Young went through a phase when he didn’t know what to say. He’s now opting for positive songs, in an R&B sexy mode. They enjoyed judging this competition but it wasn’t naturally easy for either of them. “I loved it and hated it all at the same time,” DeGarmo said. “It brought back everything that we were uncomfortable,” Young said. – Read more at AJC.com

‘American Idol’ Star William Hung Sings ‘She Bangs’ at Karaoke – On Sunday, the former “American Idol” contestant was seen singing Ricky Martin’s song “She Bangs” at a friend’s birthday in Chandler, Ariz. Hung now works as a motivational speaker. He told the local ABC affiliate that he tells his clients, “You can’t be afraid of people telling you no, the rejection. That’s the hardest thing. You can’t be afraid of being shamed or being wrong because nobody’s going to be perfect.” – Read more at Variety
