Sal Valentinetti Dishes on His Duet with Heidi Klum for America’s Got Talent Holiday Spectacular – “Heidi and I became very close as the weeks went on with the show and when it came time for her to do the Christmas special and she had to choose an act to do it with, she chose me,” Sal told Parade.com in an exclusive interview. “I was really, really honored to be able to do that with her. Working with Heidi is just an incredible experience. Billy Gilman believes he may be a star once again – “It’s quite the crazy train, right this second, trying to figure all that out,” Gilman said in a phone interview. He’s battling a virus, so the voice that brought him this far wasn’t functioning well. But Gilman’s singing work is done, for the moment. Gilman said his next objectives are to make a new album and go on tour. His long-range ambitions are lofty – he wants to be a male version of British pop sensation Adele. “There’s not a male act out there that sounds like me … I honestly feel like there’s a lane for me. On ‘The Voice,’ I felt like I was singing the songs I was meant to sing,” he said. Gilman said he’s already heard from some record companies. A “huge” pop producer, whose name he can’t reveal, wants to talk to him. The Swon Brothers Promise New Music in the New Year – “This summer, we took the summer off, after June, and we went in and cut a lot of new music,” Zach Swon tells The Boot. “On the second leg of the [Storyteller] Tour, we [played] some of the tunes, and they’ve been going over great. So, first of the year, we’ll have new music out.” Adds Colton Swon, “The good news is, it’s done. The bad news is, we have to wait just a little bit.” The Swon Brothers left Arista Nashville after their freshman project, but the guys say that while they have talked to other labels, they will gladly release the new record themselves, if it will make their fans happy. – Read more at The Boot

Sturbridge officer helps Blood Sweat & Tears out of a slick spot – Helping a stranded bus through the snow involved Blood Sweat & Tears and an American Idol for a Sturbridge Police officer Saturday morning. But he said it was all part of doing his job. “It really wasn’t a big deal, but it’s pretty slick out there,” said Sgt. Kevin Mercier, who helped direct the snowbound tour bus of the rock band Blood Sweat & Tears, which is touring with singer and American Idol alum Bo Bice as lead singer, through an intersection in Sturbridge on Saturday morning. “They were very down to earth, a very good group of guys, my first impression was they were a group of good guys.” – Read more at Telegram.com

Oklahoma Girls Fighting Cancer Get Chance To Meet Carrie Underwood – Christmas came early for two young Green Country cancer patients — who have a shared love for country music. Social media helped make their dreams come true in meeting one country’s biggest stars. The girls were set to see Carrie in concert at Tulsa’s BOK back in the spring. But at the last minute, Arleigh got sick and had to go to the hospital. “I cried because I didn’t get to go to the concert. I was very sad,” Arleigh said.
