‘American Idol’ winner Nick Fradiani to judge Mashpee song contest, play free concert – Nick Fradiani, winner of season 14 of TV’s “American Idol” will judge the annual “Mash-ville” songwriting competition here and perform a concert of his own. Songwriters have through Saturday to submit one or more original songs to the contest created by Steeple Street Music Academy, partnered with Mashpee Commons. The “Mash-ville” competition will take place at 4 p.m. Aug. 14 at the bandstand at Mashpee Commons, at the intersection of routes 28 and 151. Graham DeFranco’s Dad’s Cancer in Remission.
Good news. American Idol alum Graham DeFranco reports on instagram that his dad’s stomach cancer is in remission. “Many of you know that my paps was diagnosed with stomach cancer in October of 2020. After chemo, radiation, and now most recently, partial stomach removal surgery, this man is beating that cancers a**. I’ve never seen somebody take on cancer as well as he has and I am so proud to be his son. The doctors weren’t able to find the tumor or any cancer cells which is unreal. Thank you to everybody for your support and prayers for my old man. Now it’s time to go back to Nashville. I love you pap.”
