With 55.94% of reports in, Matchbox 20 is topping the chart. This is their first album since 2007 and first all new album since 2002. Next up is NOW 43 features Carly Rae Jepsen, One Direction, Cher Lloyd, XF US judge Demi Lovato and Voice judge Adam Levine (Now 42 is 34th with tracks from Kelly Clarkson and One Direction). Imagine the Dragons is debuting in 3rd and our old friend, Adele, is back in 4th. Trey Songz (who is not a rapper (stupid wiki!)) is 5th, Justin Bieber is 6th and 2 Chainz is 7th.
One Direction, who placed 3rd on the 7th season of X-Factor UK, are continuing to stay in the top 10 of the album charts and are currently at 8th. Right behind them, is Idol’s Season 4 winner, Carrie Underwood. Rounding up the top 10 is fellow country act, Luke Bryan.
Voice judge, Adam Levine, is part of Maroon 5 which is holding onto the 14th spot. Season 1 Idol winner Kelly Clarkson appears on Jason Aldean’s album “My Kinda Party” which is at 35th. Jordin Sparks, winner of Season 6 of Idol, is featured on the Sparkle Soundtrack currently at 42nd.
