Television viewers who happen to tune into the Late Late show Tuesday night were in for a big surprise. Instead of James Corden hosting the show, it was X Factor alum Harry Styles filling in. This, after James headed to the hospital at the very last minute for the birth of his third child, a baby girl.
The former One Direction member informed viewers that James and his wife Julia Carey welcomed their new baby girl half an hour before the show’s taping. Harry got the call to substitute for James only hours before.
“I sat at home two hours ago–in this suit obviously–and I got the call that Jules was going into labor,” he said. “So James naturally called the funniest guy he knew, and he wasn’t around. So, I’m filling in.”
