One of my favorite characters on Glee these days is Naya Rivera who plays Santana, the delicious McKinley High “mean girl”.
For my money, she’s been getting all the best lines lately. Her storyline has become complex–her deep feelings for fellow gleekster Brittany (Heather Morris) have lead her to contemplate her own sexuality and what it would mean to come out in a world that’s as mean as she is.
So, it’s fitting that GLAAD would ask Naya to host their San Francisco media awards that took place last night (May 14) at the San Francisco Marriott Marquis hotel.
Honorees included AT&T, Kim Cattrall and Kara Swisher. Award recipients were Outstanding Film – Wide Release – The Kids Are All Right, Outstanding Documentary – 8: The Mormon Proposition, Outstanding Spanish-Language Music Artist – Christian Chávez.
