Darren Criss was pulled off the stage last night at the Glee show in Washington DC. It happened during the cast’s last song, “Somebody to Love”.
Darren tweeted about it afterward, “To the lady who pulled me off the stage and into the pit tonight: if I ever see you on a stage… keep your wits about ya. Love, Darren :) !…btw I’m lucky I didn’t hit my head on the gate in front of this lady. Seriously close call tonight… Like, please don’t kill me. I’m nice.”
The use of the word “lady” leads me to believe it wasn’t a teenager who yanked him off the stage. Geez people! Even the screaming, hyperventilating teens sitting next to me in Boston on Tuesday knew that anything more than reaching out a hand for a quick touch would be INAPPROPRIATE. Why do people be so CRAZZZY?
Anywhoo. I’ve got video proof here. It happens at about 5:40. Darren is stage left, reaches down to shake a fan’s hand and then….YOINK.
