Oh. My. Gosh. Glee stars, Darren Criss and Lea Michele performed a gorgeous rendition of “Falling Slowly” at the Big Brother Big Sister Of Rising Stars Gala at The Beverly Hilton Hotel Friday night.
The tune is from the Tony award winning Broadway show Once. That’s how Lea and Darren identified it, but many of you know the movie the production is based on, and that the song also won an Academy Award.
Lea joked that they choose the songs they perform outside of the show hoping that Glee co-creator, Ryan Murphy, will notice and incorporate it into the show. HERE’S HOPING, because the duo’s delicate, emotional rendition is absolutely lovely.
