Wet Paint is reporting that when the Dancing With The Stars 17 cast is revealed on September 4, Glee star, Amber Riley, will be on the list.
Amber hinted at big things to come in an instagram note, “It’s going down…Huge announcement next week. Hehehehehe! Can’t wait to share yall.”
The singer, dancer and actress, plays the big-voiced diva Mercedes on the musical comedy. She had a reduced role on the show last season and was demoted to a recurring role for the upcoming season 5. She’ll appear on the premiere, “Love Love Love” set to air on September 26 and the Cory Monteith tribute “The Quarterback” a few weeks later.
Plenty of extra time, and a contract that allows her to appear on other television shows, would certainly make a DWTS stint feasible for her.
She’ll have Glee fans voting for her like CRAZY. Expect her to do very well, if this rumor is true. Amber is a cut above the typical D list “stars” they get for the show. It’s pretty good casting.
The cast announcement will be made on Good Morning America on September 4. Dancing With the Stars season 14 premieres Monday, September 16.
Also rumored to be joining the cast are: Snooki (Jersey Shore), Actress, Elizabeth Berkley, Leah Remini (actress and ex-Scientologist), Christina Milian (Former The Voice sky box chick) and Valerie Harper (Rhoda from Mary Tyler Moore. She has terminal cancer).
