Glee Season 5 Finale Spoilers – Listen to ALL the Songs Plus Photos and Details

Glee Season 5 Spoilers 5×20

The Glee Season 5 finale is nearly upon us! “The Untitled Rachel Berry Project” will air on Tuesday, May 13, and that’s the end of Glee until the fall, when the musical comedies last season begins!

In this last episode, Rachel (Lea Michele) ponders an offer to take a FOX development deal, which would entail moving to LA. She’s also got to wrangle a quirky television writer played by Kristen Schaal (30 Rock) who has some odd ideas for  her TV debut.  With Mercedes (Amber Riley) about to head out on tour, will she and Sam (Chord Overstreet) be able to weather a long distance relationship? Kurt (Chris Colfer) catches his fiance, Blaine (Darren Criss) in a lie, and all hell breaks loose!

Brittany (Heather Morris) is back! But it’s super weird, because the original script included Santana, who had to be written out after Naya Rivera was dismissed from the show.

According to the promo posted at the bottom of the page, Blaine and Brittany end up naked in bed somehow. Pretty sure that’s Ryan Murphy trolling fans. My money is on some sort of fantasy sequence. Or maybe a scene out of Rachel’s screenplay.

Some plot points with photos:

  • Mercedes puts on a live concert at a mall. Brittany joins her on stage for a performance of her first single,  “Shakin My Head” from her debut album, Park and Bark. At the mall she gets mobbed by fans. Her friends are there with their cell phones snapping away. Watch the entire performance here.
  • Sam poses for a huge modeling shoot. Photo Photo Photo
  • There’s a sleepover involving Kurt, Mercedes, Rachel and possibly Brittany.
  • Something fun is going on here with Rachel, Brittany, Artie (Kevin McHale) and Blaine Photo

Official Episode description from FOX

GLEE (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) – “The Untitled Rachel Berry Project” – Season Finale

In the Season Five finale, Rachel meets a famous television writer (guest star Kristen Schaal), whose eccentric personality catches Rachel off guard. Meanwhile, Sam (Chord Overstreet) and Mercedes deal with the pressure of commitment as their careers take off, and the time has finally come for Blaine’s big showcase with June Dolloway (guest star Shirley MacLaine) at NYADA.

CONCEPT:  A quirky Hollywood screenwriter begins to work on ideas for a series based on Rachel’s life, but her hip vision for the script leaves Rachel and the gang feeling nonplussed. On the verge of spending several months apart, Mercedes and Sam make a decision about their relationship. As Blaine prepares to perform in his showcase, he is faced with a tough decision.

Mary Halloran – a Hollywood screenwriter who is widely considered a genius – but whom some may politely describe as “quirky” – arrives in New York to tool a script for a potential network television series centered on Rachel’s life. While Rachel is initially quick to bow to Mary’s hip and industry savvy vision for the script, she and the gang are dismayed when all – except Brittany – are confused by what they read, prompting Rachel to try and influence some rewrites that more accurately depict who she is. As Mercedes prepares to launch her nationwide shopping-mall tour to promote her new CD, Sam finds himself on the verge of accomplishing one of his lifelong goals of appearing “almost naked on a city bus.” As the two contemplate spending the next several months apart, friends offer each of them relationship advice, prompting the couple to make a decision about their future. Meanwhile, Blaine continues to work on his showcase with June. While she promises him the event will launch his career in ways he never dreamed of, it will also require him to reveal a lie and break a promise he made to Kurt… something he may not be prepared to do.

Song Spoilers

Glitter In The Air by Pink – Rachel

All Of Me by John Legend – Blaine

Oh Man. This is so romantic. Reportedly, Darren Criss performs this live on piano.

American Boy by Estelle – Kurt and Blaine

Fun Klaine duet.  Chris Colfer is perfect!

No Time At All from Pippin – Blaine and June (Shirley MacLaine)

Broadway is more like it. I thought that Janis Joplin cover from 5×18 was SO weird.

Shakin’ My Head (Original Song) – Mercedes and Brittany

Naya Rivera was originally supposed to perform in this number, which takes place in Mercedes Mall concert.

Girls On Film by Duran Duran – Sam

I’m assuming this happens in and around Sam’s “nearly naked” shoot.

Pompeii by Bastille – Rachel, Kurt, Artie, Mercedes, Brittany, Sam & Blaine

I smell an episode (and season!) closer…
