  1. I think American Idol can learn a thing or two from Glee about song choices because while I think AI still has the better vocal talents overall,,,,,many of the themes and song choices suck big time….

Glee does do an exceptional job of mixing it up. Maybe they should have a “Glee” theme night. They can send over Glee’s musical director to help the kids find new arrangements. The Glee kids could do an epic group number on results nights. Fox loves cross-promotion, so I think they are already busy working this angle.

Just from the clip, I love what Artie is doing with the song “Dancing With Myself”. It will be interesting to see it in context.

Poor Kurt’s face when Will ignores him and gives it to Rachel (even if it is her “go to shower song”). Will can be so freakin’ clueless. Looks like Rachel/Kurt work it out, though.

Ugh! What poor slob has to sing this song? Heh. Although, I will laugh like a loon if it’s Terri singing it to Quinn.

  3. I bet Quinn and Puck get paired for the duets and “You’re Having My Baby” is their song. LOL. Since we already know that Kurt and Finn get paired, from the previews that aired after last episode.

  4. I am not sure if that has been posted, I don’t remember seeing it, but here is a long interview with Mark Salling (Puck)

Mark Salling Makes “Sweet” Music on “Glee”

  5. anijsch, thanks for that. More Puck less Finn, please…….Mark Salling is hot….and plays a more interesting character. Re; CD’s Some people don’t like the way Glee has interpreted some songs, but I say ‘bring it’! Some I am hearing for the first time, so I have nothing to compare them to. They all sound great to me and I am getting the cd’s.

  6. Glee is such a smart, fun show. Really happy to see it doing so well. Great to see such talented people on tv doing their thing.

I plan on buying the cd’s. Some good voices on the show.

  7. are the songs on the cd sung by members of the cast or by the original artists?

same question re the itunes downloads

    thanks

  8. This show has a great mix of 80s music and current stuff. I swear the writers of the show grew up in the 80s. Very nostalgic for me.

I sure hope the Crush they pick is David’s version. I think it’s more familiar for more people who watch Glee than Paige’s version.

  9. are the songs on the cd sung by members of the cast or by the original artists?

By the cast. Some of them are basically solos, but some of them are group songs. The odd song (like “Rehab” and “Mercy”) are sung by a team that is competing against them (so that’s probably studio musicians. They are done in a show choir kind of version).

  10. it is not defining gravity, but defying gravity, a song from the musical Wicked

  11. I don’t think I can wait until Matthew Morrison sings “Don’t Stand So Close to Me.” Talk about picking a song with fitting lyrics.
