The Voice season 14 singer Spensha Baker and American Idol’s Gabby Barrett performed at the recent National Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony at the White House in Washington DC.
Ovation and Reelz cable channels broadcast a special that included performances and an appearance from President Trump and the First Family, who lit the tree at the event’s end. The President and his family (even red-headed step-child Tiffany!) sat front and center during the performances.
The National Christmas Tree Lighting, presented by the National Park Service and the National Park Foundation even featured an appearance from Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke who
took time from his massive grifting. He introduced the First Family.

“This was an amazing opportunity to represent America and the Lord,” Barrett texted to TribLive “We met all different types of people there. There was so much love it blew me away,” She said. Gabby and her father Blase Barrett met the President briefly. “He told me I did a good job as a father,” Blase said.

Spensha was tickled pink to be performing for the President. She posted a photo of herself in front of the Trump Hotel DC. I wonder if she bought anything?
Videos of the performances are supposed to go up on the official website, but so far there or no photo or videos of the event, which took place on November 28. Performers also included Abby Anderson, Anthony Kearns, Dominican Sisters of Mary a.k.a. “Caroling Angels,” LOCASH, Matthew West, Paul Cardall, Thompson Square and the United States Army Band “Pershing’s Own.”
Spensha and Gabby, along with Abby Anderson also performed a rendition of “Rocking Around the Christmas Tree.” Hre’s a clip.
