Fantasia had a busy morning. First, she and the cast of the Broadway musical, After Midnight stopped by the Today show to perform. After, she headed to The View where the singer served as guest co-host.
The season 3 American Idol winner is starring in the Wynton Marsalis produced musical revue through February 9.
With the ladies of The View, Fantasia talked about how her love of the music of Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald made the production a must do for her. She also discussed her life raising 3 kids, including her niece.
Fantasia was embroiled in tabloid gossip when her affair with a married man was exposed when the wife brought both to court. The singer addressed recent suicide movies declaring that she was “blessed” and advising those in her situation to “run, run as fast as I can, you can’t catch me, I’m the gingerbread man.”
Check out the interview below.
We watched Fantasia perform “Sunny Side of the Street” in studio HERE. But here it is with the full cast, and it’s magnificent. Poor casting performing out on the COLD Today show plaza!
