NBC officially announced today that country superstars and married couple Faith Hill and Tim McGraw will serve as Key Advisors for The Voice 11 Knockout Rounds. After the Top 48 is whittled down to 32 via the Battle Rounds, the Knockout Rounds determine the 20 contestants set to compete in the Live Playoffs. In the Knockouts, singers from the same team sing side by side solos for their respective coaches who decide which singer to keep, and which to let go for a possible steal from another coach. Tim and Faith will help all of the coaches prepare their singers for competition.

The superstar advisers who will join the coaches for the Battle Rounds beginning next Monday (10/10) are: Joan Jett with Miley Cyrus, Bette Midler with Blake Shelton, Charlie Puth with Alicia Keys and Sammy Hagar with Adam Levine.

Award-winning music superstars Faith Hill and Tim McGraw will join The Voice in October as key advisers as NBC’s three-time Emmy Award-winning musical-competition series rolls on.

For the first time ever, The Voice artists will have not one but two powerhouse key advisers to help them prepare for the next phase of the show – the all-important Knockout Rounds.

In their first visit to the show, Hill and McGraw will spend time with each of the team members and season 11 coaches Miley Cyrus, Alicia Keys, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton, advising the artists on performance strategy and offering tips as they prepare for what lies ahead.

During the Knockouts, artists are paired against a teammate and will have to perform a song individually, while their direct competitor watches and waits. Once the performances are done, it’s up to the coach to pick which artist stays on for the live shows and which one goes home.

“Who better to help guide our artists at this critical point than the first couple of country music, Faith Hill and Tim McGraw, said Paul Telegdy, President, Alternative and Reality Group, NBC Entertainment. “Our artists and our viewers will love hearing from two of the most talented and highly-decorated performers working in the music industry today.”

Hill and McGraw have countless chart-topping songs and albums, and will bring their skills as live touring artists to the show. The duo recently also announced this evening in Nashville that they are setting out on tour next spring for the Soul2Soul The World Tour 2017.

“I think having the perspective of performing live in many different venues, from clubs to stadiums, will help us in working with the Voice artists this season,” said Hill. “It’s important that they be able to connect with their audience.”

“I really like to dig into songs and how they need to be presented in a live environment,” added McGraw. “I’m looking forward to working with the coaches to help the artists reach their potential.”
