Empire Season 3 Ratings Down from Last Season’s Premiere

TV on Wednesday offered up the Big Brother finale plus season premieres for Survivor and Empire. Empire was down sharply vs the season 2 premiere, but even with the finale. It’s still the #1 rated series on Bro

Empire remains the No. 1 scripted show on broadcast TV after premiering to a 4.1 rating in adults 18-49 Wednesday. It continues a trend of veteran shows opening well below their premieres last season (a 6.7, in this case) but in line with where they ended (it’s even with the finale).

CBS’ Survivor premiered to a 2.3, down 0.2 vs. last fall, while Big Brother’s finale drew a 2.0.

The Big Brother finale ratings were down 2/10ths of a point from last season.
