Ellen Degeneres talks about her first day of Idol on her talk show this morning.
“It’s exciting, I have to tell you because last year I watched ‘American Idol’ in my pajamas sitting on my couch, ” says Ellen, “And this year, it’s totally different because I actually get to be right there and although we have these late, late nights and if they keep going like this, I’m going to have to put my pajamas on.”
She says she feels bad eliminating contestants and hates that they go away empty handed. She still feels compelled to give them some sort of lovely parting gift, like a washer/dryer or a television. Ha ha…
