DWTS Judge Carrie Ann Inaba Reportedly Set to Join The Talk

Carrie Ann Inaba is set to join CBS The Talk, taking the chair vacated by Julie Chen.

Sources tell Variety that the Dancing with the Stars judge closed a deal to join the CBS daytime chat show, and will join the panel in January. Variety reached out to CBS for comment, but a representative declined to comment.

Carrie has been one of several guest hosts filling in since Chen’s departure from The Talk in September, which came after Chen’s husband, CBS chairman and CEO Leslie Moonves was fired after multiple allegations of sexual harassment and assault surfaced.

Carrie will join Eve, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne and Sheryl Underwood on The Talk panel.

One of the original Fly Girls on the FOX series In Living Color, Carrie has been a judge on Dancing with the Stars since its premiere in 2005 on ABC. She wrapped up a season as judge on the 275th cycle last month.

In the wake of this new gig, will Carrie be leaving Dancing with the Stars? Holding down both gigs would keep her pretty busy. However, Dancing with the Stars spring cycle 2018 was only 4 weeks long due to make room for the American Idol reboot on the schedule add that to the 11 week fall cycle, and that’s 15 weeks of DWTS. Certainly doable if she wants to do it, and her contract with CBS permits work on another network.
