Dancing With The Stars partners Ally Brooke and Sasha Farber dropped by The Kelly Clarkson Show on Tuesday (October 1) to dance the Viennese Waltz performed to the Goo Goo Dolls. Afterward, Shasha gave Kelly Clarkson and guest Mike Colter a hilarious dance lesson!

Also, Kelly sat down with Ally to talk about being bullied online. Both singers are alums of singing shows. Kelly won the inaugural season of American Idol, while Ally competed on X Factor USA as part of the girl group, Fifth Harmony.

“The reason why I”m on Dancing with the Stars,” Ally explains, “is because when I was in Fifth Harmony I got made fun of a lot by online bullies and trolls saying ‘she can’t dance.'” The singer added, “They were laughing at me. they were calling me the weakest dancer. They were like ‘oh she’s so embarrassing.'”

The bullying really hurt her confidence. “I know that I had it inside me,” she said, adding, “This show has given me the opportunity to prove something, not only to those people, but to myself.” Ally is using the platform to urge people to “go for it.” She says, “I hope that I can be a voice or an inspiration for someone who wants to reach their dreams.”

Kelly adds that the only failure is when “you don’t try.” She says, “We’re not always going to win. At least you tried.”

Dancing with the Stars airs on ABC on Mondays at 8 pm et/pt
