American Idol Season 7 winner, David Cook, was the Grand Marshall of the Zippo 200 NASCAR race at Watkins Glen in New York on Sunday (8/11) . He opened the race with the words “Gentlemen, start your engines!” and also sang the National Anthem.
Lucky, he made it on time to do the honors. When David finally arrived, he tweeted, “Flight cancelled. Drove from Detroit. Lost baggage. BUT I’m here and ready! #WatkinsGlen #NASCARNationwide #Zippo200”
