There were tons of fun events in and around Kansas City Missouri on Sunday to celebrate the MLB All Star Game, scheduled for Tuesday at Kaufmann Stadium, including some fun stuff featuring American Idol alums, David Cook and Haley Reinhart and Glee star, Chord Overstreet.
In the morning David Cook joined 8,000 runners for the 5K Fun Run through downtown Kansas City. David tweeted his way through the race, finished, and then helped welcome and congratulate winners as they crossed the finish line. “Me and my running buddy with our medals!pic.twitter.com/DXEhKvMT,” David tweeted at the end of the race.
Later, David joined Haley Reinhart, Chord Overstreet, Mad Men’s John Hamm, Modern Family’s Eric Stonestreet and more for the Taco Bell All-Star Legends & Celebrity Softball Game. Events are a tiny bit sketchy at the moment. But the entire game will be televised on ESPN Monday night at approximately 10:30 pm after the Home Run Derby. What I have been able to gather: David , Chord and Haley all played for the American League. Unfortunately, the National League won handily, 21-8.
