Watch the cool new black and white video, “Criminals” from David Cook. The American Idol season 7 winner dropped the video for his current single on the heels of the release of his long awaited studio album, Digital Vein.
The album’s first week sales is projected at over 10K, which is a respectable number for an independent release. David produced the record via Pledgemusic. Outside of some print media and radio appearances, David promoted the album almost entirely via a diligent and active crowdfund campaign. The singer is hitting the road for a tour, too. The video setup is simple: David and his band perform on a soundstage, with a few well applied lighting and special effects holding the viewer’s interest. Well done. A sentiment that could be applied to the singer’s new album era so far.
