Dancing With the Stars pro Mark Ballas married his songwriter fiancée BC Jean on Friday, November 25, in California, Us Weekly confirms.
The couple tied the knot at Calamigos Ranch in Malibu in front of family and friends including Dancing with the Stars alums Julianne Hough, her brother Derek Hough and his girlfriend Hayley Erbert, Brittany Cherry, Sharna Burgess, Keo Motsepe, Julz Tocker, Cheryl Burke, Sasha Farber, Emma Slater and Jenna Johnson.
Derek Hough served as his fellow DWTS pro’s best man. Everybody was having a blast,” a source told Us Weekly. “It was a fun day with a lot of love and emotion. There was lots of dancing, of course, and it was a great party.”
Here’s what the bridal party wore, according to US Weekly
The groom wore a blue suit with a black bow tie while his best man wore a gray three-piece suit with a blue tie. Jean looked gorgeous in a white dress with cut-outs at the shoulders and beaded long sleeves. The skirt of her dress had a big slit that revealed her black boots underneath. The bridesmaids wore white dresses all with beading, and the wedding party posed for photos on a carousel.
Ballas is currently appearing in Broadway’s Jersey Boys and didn’t compete on the recent season 23 of DWTS. He proposed to Jean the day before Thanksgiving last year.
The couple met in 2012 when they were both set to perform at a singer/songwriter event. They started dating and collaborating shortly thereafter, forming the band Alexander Jean. Jean is best known for writing Beyoncé’s hit “If I Were a Boy.”
Congratulations to the newly married couple!
