Louie Vito and Melisa Joan Hart are eliminated from Dancing With the Stars. Aw. I’m going to miss Louie and Chelsea. I know Louie couldn’t dance for crap, but he was adorable…

NEW YORK ‘” Michael Irvin pulled off another late comeback to survive on “Dancing with the Stars.”

The former NFL star narrowly advanced through Tuesday’s elimination episode that saw the exit of both actress Melissa Joan Hart and snowboarder Louie Vito.

Hart and her partner, Mark Ballas, were eliminated after a low score on Monday’s show. Vito and his professional dancer, Chelsie Hightower, lost in a dance-off with Irvin and his partner, Anna Demidova.

“That’s the game, ” said Hart, who starred on “Sabrina, the Teenage Witch.” “It’s tough. I was hoping to make it one more week.”

On Monday’s show, Vito dropped Hightower twice. In the judges eyes, he didn’t further distinguish himself Tuesday with a slipshod performance to the song “I Fought the Law.”

“This is a lot harder than it looks, ” said Vito. “Everyday I got out there and danced, I was proud of myself just for getting out there.”

  1. The former NFL star narrowly advanced through Tuesday’s elimination episode that saw the exit of both actress Melissa Joan Hart and snowboarder Louie Vito.

Man, those Cowboys’ fans really like voting for this show LOL.

  2. Well, I didn’t do well either. I actually split my votes on Michael and Louie, and didn’t give second thoughts to Melissa. No points.

Alright, I was watching SYTYCD and popped into DWTS during commercials and judge’s comments. I did not enjoy what I saw. Did I want to see a dance off between Michael and Louie? Nope, went back to SYTYCD.

I think both shows are making changes to keep up with the competittion. Maks complained that DWTS is too difficult this season. I agree. I knew they threw in that Mambo dance to weed out those staying too long. However, the results were almost predictable. And how were most of the couples able to compete with Joanna and Derek? They couldn’t do some of the ‘obscene’ moves presented by them. I thought Mya and Dmitry were more classy.

Well, poor Chelsie will have her body back and no more injuries. She’s such a sport about things. I am sure we will see more of her dancing this season. Still don’t feel the love for Anna yet.

  3. And how were most of the couples able to comete with Joanna and Derek? They couldn’t do some of the ‘obscene’ moves presented by them.

Derek just skeeves me out in every way. I can hardly watch this show anymore, because I find him so creepy.

  4. I was rooting for Melisa Joan Hart :(, just in the name of my teenage days watching Clarissa Explains It All.

  5. I like Melissa but thought it was fine that she went tonight, ditto Louis. I do think Michael should have gone but can’t fight the Cowboy fans. I didn’t watch the show tonight at all so can’t comment on the dance off.

  6. I feel bad saying this, because I like MJH, but I was really ready for Mark Ballas to go home. He’s been so grumpy and always looked so “put upon”. It seems like he’s going through the motions (and not convincingly), and at the first opportunity, he should take a break. Too bad, he used to be one of my favorites.

Did they ever say which male pro woud be dancing with Sabrina? I must have missed it.

  7. I knew they threw in that Mambo dance to weed out those staying too long.

I was thinking that too. Good idea.

Aw, I wanted Louis to stay another week. He’s so sweet.

I’m glad Melissa is gone though.

I like Derek, he’s one of the fun pros to watch.

  8. Blast…I really wanted Louie to hang around a little bit longer. I loved his upbeat attitude, his smile, and the fact that he was completely out of his element, but willing to put himself out there. And he is just too cute .. and looks adorable with Chelsie. Hope he had a good time.

I agree that Mark Ballas ooked annoyed all season. I don’t think he’s happy unless he has a really talented partner – so he can show off and possible even win. Don’t like his attitude at all (or his over-the-top faces).

Not a fan of Anna Dem…(whatever). I don’t know if she’ll improve with time, but she doesn’t seem to be the best choreographer and her personality hasn’t really blown me away. She needs something else to inspire interest in her…right now, she just doesn’t have it.

Oh … and boy do I HATE that DWTS and SYTYCD are on at the same time. My 2 favorite shows and I’m just bouncing back and forth between the 2. Phew…

  9. Louie seemed sweet, but he couldn’t dance. And with his short stature, stiff movements, and terrible hairdo, he reminded me of the oompa loompa guys in the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory movie, poor guy! As for Derek–yep, he’s creepy. Here’s hoping that Joanna goes home quickly so I don’t have to watch them go at it on the dance floor again. Yuck. Mya and Donny are my favs. MUCH classier, and they’re both really good dancers!

  10. Derek just skeeves me out in every way. I can hardly watch this show anymore, because I find him so creepy.

That’s where I am, too. Like, Derek, please keep your shirt on and stay out of the range of the camera. Because I just can’t take it anymore. Joanna’s lips skeeve me out almost as much, however.

  11. Oh gosh, I’m a Derek Hough fan. He can really dance and I think he is the best of the male choreographers. He always seems to know how to show off his partner in the best light. My favorite though this season is Donnie Osmond. I love his personality and the man can dance. i wasn’t surprised by Louie going home, but was a little surprised that Melissa and Mark had the lowest total votes. I think they are better than Michael and his partner whose name always escapes me.

  12. I’ve never gotten into So You Think You Can Dance at all. Between Nigel and the woman judge with the loud strident voice it is almost unwatchable to me. Too bad because from what I understand there is some excellent dancing. I do enjoy DWTS. Over the years I feel like I know some of the dancers. Most of my favorites are already eliminated this season. I love Edyta and Alec, Maks and Cheryl and Tony, too. Wish they were still on each week. At least I get to see some of them dancing with the guest singer each week.

  13. It should have been Micheal and Vito but at least nobody really good got bumped. I want Mya and Donnie in the finale and the last slot can go to pretty much anyone else. The Osborne girl is getting worse instead of better.

  14. I agree, I want Mya and Donny in the finale. I do believe Derek will also sneak in there. I wonder if Derek realizes he comes across so badly.

Nmitry has been a favorite from back in the SYTYCD days. He doesn’t come across as conceited or angry with his partner. Of course, with Mya there is little to be grumpy about.

    When is Michael going home?

Yeah, same here. He’s so manic, and look-at-me. I can’t stand him any more.
Derek does not skeeve me out. He is an amazing dancer and choreographer. They all should be so good.
Michael should be next to go. Is it a double elim next week, too?
