Another Monday means another episode of Dancing With The Stars, and it’s the semi-finals!

After last week’s 90s night ended with a double elimination that sent Heidi and Artem and Vinny and Koko packing, tonight’s double elimination will determine which four couples make it to next week’s Season 31 finale!

Vote at DisneyPlus.com or text the contestant’s FIRST NAME to 21523. Voting begins at the top of the show.

Tonight, each couple will perform full-length dances, one ballroom dance and one Latin dance each.

Wayne and Witney – Paso Doble – “Beggin”

This was a very modern Paso, not your traditional type that usually bores me lol Witney is a great choreographer so if anyone could do a Paso to get this modern song, it’s her. Something about Wayne’s legs and footwork seemed a bit sloppy at times which isn’t something you want to ee during the semi-finals.

Len says he saw strong shapes and aggressive movement, but mentions a stumble near the end. Derek critiques his shoulders and hips, but overall it was still a strong dance. Bruno says it was strong and stylish, and compliments his accents and shapes. Carrie Ann says people don’t always put a story on a Paso and she loves the risk they took.

Carrie Ann- 9, Len- 9, Derek- 9, Bruno- 9 = 36/40

Daniel and Britt – Viennese Waltz – “Surprise Yourself”

Despite the robotic-sounding song, Viennese requires an elegant smoothness that Daniel did not capture. But Daniel’s technique aside, sometimes the song makes the dance, and this wasn’t your traditional Viennese song, so it really threw off the choreo here.

Derek critiques his right arm but says there were beautiful lines. Bruno says everyone here has fallen in love with him and what he brings to the dance floor is fantastic. Carrie Ann says there’s a unity when these two dance that’s authentic. Len says the in and out of hold was seamless but found it skippy at times.

Carrie Ann- 9, Len- 8, Derek- 9, Bruno- 9 = 35/40

Shangela and Gleb – Paso Doble – “The Edge of Glory”

It doesn’t get more Paso than their costumes! lol I’ve also never seen couples incorporate lip syncing into the dances as much as this season, but it definitely works with Shangela. Shangela going entirely solo in the middle with those accents had my jaw on the floor. That’s not something you see often in a Paso, never mind someone’s first time dancing it.

Bruno says he love, love, loved the dramatic solo despite her missing a part in it. Carrie Ann says she doesn’t dance in fear and is never afraid to fail. Len says it was powerful dancing and loved the traditional steps. Derek says critiques the same thing Bruno did but still says it was great.

Carrie Ann- 9, Len- 9, Derek- 9, Bruno- 9 = 36/40

Charli and Mark – Viennese Waltz – “Glimpse of Us”

I’m always impressed by Charli’s balance. He also has a much more beautiful frame than she realizes. This dance was a traditional, gorgeous, elegant Viennese Waltz.

Carrie Ann says it was perfection on top of perfection. Len says it was so good it literally took his breath away, and no word of his can sum up how good he thought it was. Derek says he’s the first celeb to really look like a ballroom dancer. Bruno says she danced like an angel and this performance will go down in history as one of the best Viennese Waltzes on the show.

Carrie Ann- 10, Len- 10, Derek- 10, Bruno- 10 = 40/40

Trevor and Emma – Cha Cha – “Satisfied”

Trevor seems to just master these dances every time. Even if they’re not 100% perfect, he masters the essence of every dance. The entire routine seemed to lack a lot of basic Cha Cha, but the ending was perfection.

Len says he’s gotten stronger and stronger each week, but it lacked rhythm at times. Derek critiques his arms and footwork but says Trevor has had an incredible journey. Bruno says he’s seen very few people look at Trevor’s feet (LOL). Carrie Ann says it was strong and clean, but more importantly was really confident and he brings so much joy every time and is the reason they’ve saved him so many times.

Carrie Ann- 8, Len- 8, Derek- 8, Bruno- 8 = 32/40

Gabby and Val – Waltz – “I’m Kissing You”

This dance was a bit boring. It had some beautiful steps in it, but we’ve established that Gabby appears as a better dancer with Val than she actually is and the beauty didn’t outweigh the boredom.

Derek compliments every aspect of the dance and calls it flawless. Bruno says she looks like she stepped out of a dream, and this was equally beautiful to Charli’s Viennese in a different way. Carrie Ann says she stripped down some walls in this performance and she had a new grace. Len say it was a wonderful Waltz and she showed control and artistry.

Carrie Ann- 10, Len- 10, Derek- 10, Bruno- 10 = 40/40

Len then announce that this will be his last season judging DWT because he would like to spend more time with his grandchildren back in Brittain.

Wayne and Witney – Viennese Waltz – “It’s A Man’s World”

Super cool that Wayne recorded this song specifically to dance to and dedicate to his grandmother. Gorgeous choreo with beautiful, traditional Viennese steps.

Len says it lacked some content but Wayne comes out and gives it everything he’s got Derek critiques his frame but says he’s always fantastic to watch. Bruno says he knows how to pitch it, sell it, and connect, despite being not quite there technically. Carrie Ann says a dance is not just technique and he brought everything else to it.

Carrie Ann- 10, Len- 9, Derek- 9, Bruno- 9 = 37/40

Daniel and Britt – Samba – “Light It Up”

Super fun dance to watch but not-so-super technically. They missed a beat near the end but this was actually one of Daniel’s better dances as of late.

Derek says he was in awe of the technique and it was full of content. Bruno says amba is one of the hardest dances to do and he did it very well. Carrie Ann says he danced with swagger and he always takes the obstacle and turns it into an opportunity. Len says he coped with the changing speeds and was fantastic.

Carrie Ann- 9, Len- 8, Derek- 9, Bruno- 8 = 34/40

Shangela and Gleb – Viennese Waltz – “I Have Nothing”

If tonight was the finale, they’d win. Their first dance was incredible and this one was stunning. Shangela has impressed me with the way she masters the technique of every dance so well. Gleb also proved to be such an amazing choreographer this season.

Bruno critiques the underarm turn but still says it was great. Carrie Ann leaves the judges’ table to literally bow down to Shangela and says she was exceptionally radiant tonight. Len compliments the fluidity and lyricism of the dance but critiques her head. Derek says it was a beautiful dance despite the head issue that affect the clean line.

Carrie Ann- 10, Len- 9, Derek- 9, Bruno- 9 = 37/40

Charli and Mark – Pado Doble – “Espana Cani”

I stand corrected from what I said earlier about Shangela and Gleb, it doesn’t get any more Paso than THIS. Mark managed to make this dance unique in regards to choreo, and Charli perfected every step.

Carrie Ann leaves the judges’ table again to hug Charli and hen yell a bunch of compliments. Len tells both Charli and Mark that it was fantastic. Derek says she’s had exceptional moments every week. Bruno says he captured the essence of the spirit of Spain.

Carrie Ann- 10, Len- 10, Derek- 10, Bruno- 10 = 40/40

Trevor and Emma – Viennese Waltz – “Count On Me”

Still a little something off about his frame, but Trevor’s great when it comes to footwork. Great song for Viennese and gorgeous choreo thanks to Emma.

Len says it could have had more flow but he’s enjoyed watching his progression throughout the season. Derek says the choreo was beautiful and compliments their partnership despite getting skippy. Bruno says how well he’s done all season. Carrie Ann says the partnership has been spectacular and his disadvantage is that he’s never learned choreo before.

Carrie Ann- 9, Len- 8, Derek- 8, Bruno- 8 = 33/40

Gabby and Val – Paso Doble – “Malagueña”

This dance was fire! Traditional costumes, traditional song, traditional choreo. This was one of the first times Gabby seemed to dance flawlessly on her own without Val’s inadvertent help.

Derek says he was unsure at the beginning but then she broke out into the dance and he loved it. Bruno says the dramatic build-up to the full ending was genius. Carrie Ann says the semi-final has been off the charts and she’s never seen her dance with so much intensity. Len says he loved the attack, aggression, and moments of stillness.

Carrie Ann- 10, Len- 10, Derek- 10, Bruno- 10 = 40/40

The bottom three are… Trevor and Emma, Shangela and Gleb and Daniel and Britt.

The first couple going home is… Trevor and Emma.

The second couple going home is… Daniel and Britt.

What a wild night of dancing! Join me back here next Monday night to see who takes home the mirror ball!
