When Dancing with the Stars aired on ABC, the network would drop a press release during the week that contained everything fans needed to know about the upcoming episode, including dance styles and song choices. Unfortunately that doesn’t seem to be a thing now that the series is streaming only on Disney+.
However, the DWTS Instagram page did drop song choices and voting information for Monday’s premiere (September 19). The show WILL stream LIVE beginning at 8 pm ET/5 pm PT on Disney + and it’s been revealed that a celebrity WILL BE ELIMINATED on the first show! That’s a new thing. So get ready!
Vote at DisneyPlus.com or text the contestant’s FIRST NAME to 21523. Voting begins at the top of the show.
Maybe the dance styles will drop before Monday. (UPDATED WITH DANCE STYLES) But if they do, watch this space for updates. Song choices MAY hint to the dance style. For instance, American Idol season 7 winner David Cook’s Time of Your Life is a song in solid 3/3 time and has been used several times over the years in competitions to accompany waltzes.
