Rick Fox and Cheryl Burke are eliminated from Dancing with the Stars – VIDEO
I’m resigned to the fact that Bristol Palin could wind up in the finals. I predicted last night she wouldn’t be sent home this week, but I would have happily been wrong. Not only is her dancing crap, but she’s boring as hell. Rick wasn’t a great dancer, but he was often really fun to watch. I thought it was sweet when he got choked up when he was thanking the cast. Sweet. Oh well, contestants who stay way past their welcome is nothing new in the world of competition reality.
Tonight’s show could have easily been 60 minutes, plus the cut-aways to election results was disruptive. Hope that’s it for the super-long results until the finale.
Live blog and Videos after the JUMP…
Tonight’s Dancing with the Stars results is 90 minutes (Ugh) and feature guest appearances from 1 million seller singer, Taylor Swift, Rod Stewart and John Legend.
Election results will be cut into the results show. Should make for a really bizarre episode.

The judges want to see a reprise of the Team Apolo routine.
Let’s begin with the results with a high score and a low score. Bristol and Mark and Brandy and Maks take the stage. Bristol is crying and ready to go home. She may get her wish tonight. On election day! The first couple safe is Brandy and Maks. Bristol and Mark are STILL IN JEOPARDY.
Like some crazy Idol finale stunt, Tom and Brooke will present “awards” to some of the former stars. Alert! Unnecessary FILLER.
Most Dramatic Moment – Why, Marie Osmond of course, for that fainting spell. She accepts her award on tape from her Vegas show.
The cast of Mary Poppins take the stage to dance “Step in Time”. OMG Mary Poppins flies! – VIDEO
Er, Election update!
Taylor Swift sings warbles her single “Mine”. – VIDEO
Best Worst Dancer is…Kenny Mayne (I thought it would be Kate Gosselin!)
More results! Rick and Cheryl and Jennifer and Derek take the stage. Jennifer thought she might have to quit the show, but after her high scores she has RENEWED VIGOR! And of course, Jennifer and Derek are SAFE. Rick and Cheryl are STILL IN JEOPARDY.
Biggest Dancer Transformation – Louis Van Amstel for cutting off his ponytail?
Rod Stewart takes the stage to sing “I Get a Kick Out of You”. His voice is shot! Yikes. – VIDEO
Kyle and Lacey and Kurt and Anna take the stage. The next couple SAFE is Kurt and Anna. Kyle and Lacey are STILL IN JEOPARDY.
Taylor Swift is back to sing “White Horse”. Clips from the past 11 seasons play in the background. Tom hands Taylor the mic (he pulls a Marie Osmond and pretends to faint) and Taylor plugs next week’s CMA awards. – VIDEO
Next week’s gimmick sounds really stupid. They have to learn a dance without music. They’ll be given the music 20 minutes before showtime.
The contestants talks about STRESS. Blah blah filler.
MORE results. The next couple safe is… Oh Dear God. Will the madness ever end? It’s Bristol and Mark.
OMG this Skating with the Stars. Sean Young? Vince Neil? Bethany Frankel? D LIST. Plus Rebecca Budig (who?), Johnny Moseley and BRANDON MYCHAL SMITH (again…who??). Didn’t FOX try this Skating with The Stars deal, with disastrous results, a few years ago?
RESULTS! Rick and Cheryl are going home. Aw. Rick got a little choked up! I’m sorry he’s going home. It should have been Bristol.
